Commitment to the ethical code as a professional engineer.

First and foremost being informed and 'up-to-date' with the ethical principals of the EC/RAE/IET is imperative for following a proper way of dealing with situations in the professional environment.

Honesty, Integrity, Respect for life human or otherwise, abiding by the law, protecting the environment and general good are some of the characteristics of respect that an engineer should strive to follow. Yet Accuracy, Rigorousness, Leadership and Communication are the key tools to guarantee the aforementioned characteristics.

Implementation in my own work, work of the others is of most importance and when discrepancies are noticed these should be exclaimed and forcefully or by law delt with and repaired.

All steps that an engineering firm, company or project follows should be in accordance and accommodate the IET rules and guidelines but first and foremost the protection of the common good. Profit of the few or the company should never come to hinder the general good or put in jeopardy the future generations.

The harmony of the worlds people and nature is imperative and should not be pushed aside just to satisfy the apparent needs of the generation of now without considering the actual needs of tomorrow.

Since we engineers hold such important position in the society of today our burden is double to the next generation since we have the ability to consider and foresee many of the plausible needs or problems that may arise.
