A breakthrough with the PCB saw James come up with the good idea of using the layer as ground, this would save us the hassle of drawing in the ground connections. Using the code that Dr Davies gave us the mouse now can avoid obstacles, although this is yet to be calibrated so that we can dictate the distance at which the mouse detects an object and acts accordingly. As the deadline for obstacle avoidance draws ever closer we are relishing the assessment as we believe our mouse will succeed.

In terms of website updates, we got full marks in the mid term assessment. This was great news for us, as a group we believe the website to be of great value to explain and show the breakthroughs, milestones and advancements of our project.

Moving into December, our aim is to set ourselves up nicely for our return after the Christmas recess and exam period in order to hit the ground running in late January.
